Happy Mother's Day!

In an attempt to return some civility back to this board I wish Happy Mother's Day to the mothers/wives of any of the posters on this board. I don't think there's many, if any, females who post here but if there are, Happy Mother's Day to you as well. :) Let's hope you don't need "Mother's Little Helper"! ;) We all think we have the world's best mom, maybe I should paraphrase Jackson Armstrong and wish Happy Mother's Day to one of the world's two best moms? :D

I'm with you...we're all going to have our differences, and when discussed with a smile and some respect, it's a better board.

And rule #1 is...never demonize your opponent.

Vehemently disagree all you want but don't cross that line into ad hominem attacks. Leave that for the nut jobs.

My Mother's Day morning was spent in church with my wife, and then I did a 5-hour airshift. The guy running Selector did an awesome job of inserting titles pertinent to the day including many tunes we don't normally play. The standard weekend ticket giveaway came with a Mother's Day spin..."take Mom...or somebody else and just get Mom a card." This made for some great caller reaction. But the topper was a teenage-sounding boy wanting to do a "shout-out" to his older sister who raised three boys by herself, and as it turned out was also a surrogate mother to the caller. When I jokingly mentioned a shout-out is no substitute for a nice dinner out, he replied that he was going to clean the house while she relaxed. Touching and engaging story.

Meanwhile my wife went to the opera with a good friend and after my shift, a nice dinner out. She knew what she was in for when we began dating 30 years ago and has been able to accept it and even become interested in the business. I think it was a good Mother's Day and today I'm back in my home studio awaiting whatever challenges my clients may toss my way.

I am blessed. Life is good...and I hope everyone stumbling upon this has a great day! May the diaries fall in your hot zips...or for those living in PPM land as I do, may the People Meters hear your station.
