Nice press release. A big middle finger to Scripps and - most importantly - to customers who will see no reduction in their monthly cable bills, nor new channels to replace HGTV and Food. Honestly, all of these cable companies are out of control and have been since our government decided to "help" consumers with the Cable Reform Act of 1996. Doesn't bode well for health care, does it?
I don't have a horse in this fight since I'm a Comcast customer, but I'm siding with Scripps. Remember Cablevision is the same company that for over a year gave the middle finger to all the New York Yankees fans by refusing to carry The YES Network when it first launched. These days I believe DISH Network is the only provider in YES's coverage area that doesn't carry YES.
