No offense guys..just that there is a world of music out there to be discovered..I think too many people spend their time listening to the same old songs over and over..
Nathan Jones is a great song..but do they play it?
SPY
not only wcbsfm plays the same songs, but the other stations I know In NY do too. thats radio today!!! I like the supremes, I myself would love to hear more of them too.
we want "Nathan Jones", which was a WABC MUSIC RADIO 'super hit, and "Floy Joy", a great 70s Supreme hit that was a mainstay on WWDJ -AM ,flame throwing out of New Jersey....
more 70's Supremes, thank you...
Yes..which is why I don't listen much to NY radio..with the exception of RXP very rarely..
I think you guys have a sentimental attachment to CBS..which I understand..but having listening to music on the internet for several years..I realize just how much great music (old and new) is out there..
Last time I heard Nathan Jones on the radio was Kearth 101 back in the 80's..
Could not agree more. I'm 21 years old and my dad raised me on '60s music so I enjoyed listening to the oldies stations as a child (which at the time played very little past 1972 or '73). He still doesn't understand why most 80's music is considered "classic rock".
When I channel surf and find CBS playing a '60s song, I usually change the dial after the song is over since the next song is almost certain to be from the 80s or late 70s. On the rare occasion that they're playing a 70s or 80s song I don't mind listening to, then I stick around to see what the next 60s song will be.
