Hard-core porn interrupts news show

It has to do with the importance of having good employees and security in place at your station. This is meant to be a warning to our local stations to make sure something like this does not happen here.

I agree about the importance of this. However, it is about television and cable, not about radio! How are you going to see two people in the act of copulation on the radio? It belongs on the appropriate board.

I say bravo to Ion Television on their bold new programming strategy.

uhhhhh...isn;t this the National TV board?

Romer979fm, this post was originally posted on the Cincinnati radio board. (Radio-Info BOARDS>OTHER LOCAL MARKETS>Cincinnati>MOVED: Hard-core porn interrupts news show) If you go there, you will see where the board moderator moved the post to this board!

I love how this article (and others I've seen about it) imply that KPPX is a "cable" station.

Some of the other articles even begin to suggest that the local cable operator (Cox) was responsible for what happened. Unless they have a local ad sales agreement, cable companies do not insert programming/commercials on local broadcast stations!

I wish whoever is writing these stories would do some research and get their facts straight.

This is a nonstory, it is nothing. Not news.

If that's the case, then how come every time, deliberate or not, porn interrupts regular transmissions snowballs into another water cooler story?

1. Because it's not the first time it's happened: (Dateline: Poughkeepsie, NY...) (Dateline: Kenmore, Ohio... This was instead of Christmas programming, folks!)

But most of all:

2. Because it's effing hilarious! :D

And aren't we forgetting that one time on Adelphia Cable of Los Angeles in 2000 when the audio of WWE Raw on TNN (now Spike TV) remained...over the video signal of the Spice Channel?!?!

Watercooler gossip? Story? No.
