It has to do with the importance of having good employees and security in place at your station. This is meant to be a warning to our local stations to make sure something like this does not happen here.

No Fine. This seems to be a classic case of a disgruntled employee.

BTW, the employee, not public named, has been discovered and fired.

I love how this article (and others I've seen about it) imply that KPPX is a "cable" station.

Some of the other articles even begin to suggest that the local cable operator (Cox) was responsible for what happened. Unless they have a local ad sales agreement, cable companies do not insert programming/commercials on local broadcast stations!

I wish whoever is writing these stories would do some research and get their facts straight.

Why would it result in a fine? It was not deliberate, it was an extrodinary fluke, like someone taking over a station without authorization. This is a nonstory, it is nothing. Not news.
