Hard rock on 810 WEDO after 6pm

I came across it by accident but someone at WEDO has been doing a hard rock/metal show. They play allot of lesser known artists and tracks. If you love hard rock it's great to listen to. I wish there was more of this on the air these days. I hate the current rock/pop that passes for music these days.

Hard rock/metal on an AM radio? Sorry, but some things are just plain wrong. That's one of them.

WEDO in November signs off at 5pm. The WEDO Music Show with Freddy & Eddy won't be on again after October untill we go back to longer broadcasting hours in the new year.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. This was available air time none was available for us at DVE or YDD (deceased). Freddy agrees with you good rock should be on the FM. But beggars can't be choosers and the AM is tempered by also streaming live on the internet. Most of our dedicated listeners listen to it live on the internet for the clear sound which is better than FM.

Here is the link to listen to our show live on the internet Mon - Sat 6pm - 6:45pm. http://www.wedo810.com/ then click on the listen live link on the main page.

WEDO Music Show with Freddy & Eddy

I came across your show on the drive home the other night, Eddy.
Have to give you credit for having the courage to do something different.
Gave me a nice nostalgia trip to what AM was like back in the day.

An hour of heavy metal is by far better than what a lot of other small market
AM stations are running at that time. Nice job by WEDO to fill this orphaned
(and shrinking) time slot.

(* full disclosure...I am NOT the Freddy who is the other half of
Freddy and Eddy)

This made me so happy today. And believe me, I needed it. It was like finding a copy of Who's Next at Fisher Big Wheel for $2 (when those "in the know" bastards at Camelot were charging $9). Just wish it could be longer.

Fisher Big Wheel....now THERE's a piece of nostalgia for you!
Consigned to the ash heap along with Ames, Hills, Murphy Mart, and WT Grant.
I think WEDO was a music station the last time I was in a Fisher Big Wheel store.

How about Peaches record stores, Zayres, Gold Circle and Winkes making you happy to be hungry. :)

I don't remember Winkies, but then I lived in Wilmerding.

Ironically, towards the end of its corporate life, Winky's had a store occupying that famous
first-floor space at the corner of Walk and Don't Walk. Made you want to scream "I am your
LEEEEEEDAH!" as you were polishing off your Big Wink.
