Hardest hitting sports radio/tv journalist?

I'm just curious. Who do you think is the hardest hitting radio/tv personality? One who tells it the way it is in a fair but hard hitting manner. pretty much no holds barred.
The only one I can think of is Jim Rome.
Are there others?
Please weigh in.

Steve Czaban & Jorge Sedano on FSR
Doug Gotlieb on ESPN-Radio

Agreed Dot Com... Doug Gottlieb. Guy has great presence on the air and isn't afraid to call out anyone. BUT, will listen to the opposing view as well.
Hell he got in to it with his former coach at OSU because they felt like he was being unfair and Gottlieb didn't back down at ALL.

Though I will say that I've been listening a lot to the overnight and I think Ben Maller is the most underrated talent in sportstalk radio.

The absolute best, bar none...is Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio. He approaches every issue with fairness and well thoughtout opinions backed up by facts.

With Rome, at times, yes he can be a hard-hitting. However, in my opinion in all my years listening to him (going back to his local days in San Diego/Los Angeles), he can be a bit of an ass-kisser.

Most interviews I hear nowadays are so generic and predictable. Unless you have a host and/or a guest with a good personality and can get the best from one another, it's just boring to listen to.

EDIT: I forgot about Bob Costas; he always asks fair and tough questions, and at times can be fun (depending on the topic and guest).

Yeah I agree with take on Rome he can kiss a$$ sometimes. Gottlieb is one of my favorites, Gottlieb and Cowherd head to head is fun to listen to Doug is very good. Gottlieb v. Jim Boeheim is great.

Man I totally overlooked Czabe, It sucks because we only get him for 1 hour used to be 2 and local took that other and plus the coming on at 5am ct doesn't help either. I wish they would put Czaban on a different time, but I do enjoy that precious hour. I guess if I had XM I could listen to him v. Rome though.

Thanks for the replies; the post about Costas was interesting. Barry Bonds recently called Costas "a little midget" which i think is just as condescending and brutal to shorter people as the N word is to black people.
Hey Barry if you're reading this: the best way to gain respect is to give it. Has anyone picked up on Barry's slur?
Note: Costas is reportedly 5'61/2".
