Harris FM 20k -- come get it!

Anyone want a working FM20k? Located near Statesboro GA.

Rig in good shape, needs tubes.

Yes, it has the overload indicators. (circa 10/1983)

Originally on 95.5.

Exciter not included (I just recapped it!)

Must remove from site.

Sweetening the pot....

ok, no takers, not even a single comment?!?

Updated Deal:

Including the Digit exciter (no I won't sell separate)

Including the 5 year old roto-phase.

Including lunch for the crew that comes to pick it up.

Others than tubes, this rig needs nothing. It was running when I turned it off.

Really don't want to see it in a scrap yard but that it where it's headed in a few weeks.

Good Lord. Someone needs to learn how to spell, proper syntax, and use punctuation.

Let me be clear ... this is NOT a HT-20. It is a FM20k.

Current Frequency: 88.9 (TPO 7.2kw)

Original Frequency: 95.5

Exciter: Digit

Final Tube: 4cx15000a

IPA: (2) 4cx250b

you had nothing other to do !

Here let me help you: 'Do you have nothing better to do?' Asked as a question. Note that there is a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence. Because it is a question, there is a question mark ending the sentence.

Especially when you are trying to communicate with others via written means, proper speech, sentence structure, and punctuation is important.

Frankly, if you can't even spell or communicate properly, I for one wouldn't risk the potential liability by giving you something that could easily kill you.

So Mr Kelly we seem to have the FM transmitter.I do know my work and I work safe.

come and get it ,I left it why

Well he told us in here that the transmitter was making 7.2 Kw,well there were three dud tubes on the floor and the transmitter needed a $1800. new one so I said "NO THANKS" ..............Allen oh he still has the transmitter

Big its not that great

I sent him an e mail with your attached. But if you can read back. He sent me photos of it and its used up three tubes and wasn't making 10% power this is hes e mail [email protected]

It sure did. At the local scrap yard.

I have an early HT-20 (on 89.3 TPO 14.2kw) with a bad IPA that was removed as a backup transmitter in January 2020. It was a backup rig for 10 years before that.
I ran it in the pre-amp/ipa bypass mode with a 300 watt crown exciter into the dummy load before I decommissioned it. It really needed about 500 watts of drive for full power. Doubt I can give it away, but any offer will be passed along to my DOE.

What's the deal on the 300 watt Exciter? I'm interested in it.
