Harris HT-3.5 Blower

I had a HT-3.5 to blow a blower on newyears eve night. Can anyone give any suggestions on where I might find a replacement (other than from the big H) or any place that could repair the motor. The thermal cutout opened up and it seems to be down inside the motor. It is made by Rotron. It is not on there web site and they cant seem to tell me anything about it. I guess they made it just for Harris.
Thanks for any help.

Any decent motor machine shop can rebuild those for a fraction of the cost of new one. I have a few HT-5's and one 10. They have all had blowers rebuilt locally. I would start in the yellow pages. If you tell them you're off air, they will probably do it in a few hours.

Thanks! Grainger has a store about 30 miles from me. I will try them Monday. I have checked with a motor shop and they said they couldn't do anything with it but iI am going to try a few others.
I am not off the air. I was able to borrow a blower from another station but it is squelling like a stuck pig.
I have bearings ordered for it and will replace them when they come in.

Kirby Risk Electrical has rebuilt for under $100. Charlie Goodrich rebuilds these if they can be rebuilt. His price is higher but his work is excellent. Good luck.

Another nice feature of Grainger is they WIlL open up their store if you are off the air to sell it to you. They have an emergency number for that kind of service.
Good idea on not buying from Big H. You could probably buy a nice used car for the price they'd stick you with for the part and shipping, IF they still had one or cared enough to get the right part number. I sure wished someone would go into the Big H parts biz similar to that guy that used to sell RCA parts did after RCA went out of the transmitter biz. With Big H's prices and appathy there's a real market for parts for their stuff.
