Anyone know the reason why KCY is looking for a new program director? They had a down book but are still a dominant market force.

I see that WBOP ( Magic 106.3 ) had a low rating 2.4 share , but am not surprised . Verstandig had tried this same format a little while ago with WBHB (Magic 96.1 ) which is now Light Rock 96.1 and doing much better with the light rock format .

Well,

Johnnie V has tried a variety of formats on his 105 and 96 freqs. Nothing with much success. Fact is the last book he had with oldies (1.5 years ago) was better than either station has mustered with lite rock or classic hits...Lite Rock did do OK a year or so ago - but has essentially died on the vine. Classic Hits has yet to get off the ground. Actually CC's Mix 93-1 did better in the Total survey area than Lite Rock 96 did on the strength of its Augusta County and southern Rockingham Co numbers - at least that's what I hear. BOP is another matter - They're trying all the right things - but the music is still all over the place...

BOP had the worst air talent ever. I am not sure who is there now..but the Dog, and that awful chick Joy at Night was terrible. I could fart and it would sound better than those 2 ******bags.

Gee, how do you really feel?
None of the rock-days airstaff remain. BTAIM, my question was in response to the statement that "the music is all over the place." I was hoping for an amplification.
What say you, Murph?
