Harry Carey Jr. Dies at 91

My generation would probably remember him the most from the saloon scenes in Back to the Future III. I don't think his character had a name besides "Saloon Old Timer". When Marty first enters the saloon, Carey's character is the white bearded guy sitting at one of the tables playing cards with two other old timers. He spoken some lines, but I don't remember them off the top of my head.

Thank you for getting this posted. Harry Carey, Jr. was in so many movies. Fr many of us of the 1950's, he's remembered as playing "Bill Burnett" on the Spin & Marty serials on TV's Mickey Mouse Club.

Interestingly, his father - Harry Carey, Sr. - had his last acting role in a Disney movie. He played the county fair judge in "So Dear To My Heart" which came out in 1948. Unfortunately, he passed away before the film was released.

Although he seemed to have smaller character roles, I always enjoyed his work. When ever I saw him on screen I knew I was watching a quality product. Interesting that he was the son in law of another of my favorite character actors -Paul Fix.
