Virus bumps for WTIC-AM and WDRC-AM, but not for WNPR? Kind of surprising in a "blue state." The classic rock and classic hits stations did well, too. Don't think DRC-FM has been No. 2 6+ since the last year or so of its classic hits format under Buckley. What's Red Wolf doing right that Connoisseur wasn't?

17% increase for WDRC-FM, 16% for WTIC AM and WHCH. Regarding WTIC, they had their weekday talk hosts working Saturdays. Also, they had a local doctor doing a live show in Rush's time slot for three days, and then 6-8 pm for two.

Maybe they are giving away money or other items, or doing more live programming than they did under Connoisseur. Regarding last month, maybe The Whale is the type of station you would listen to at home, and not in the office. RCH went down 11%.

I don't listen to The Whale often, but to me it doesn't sound much different than when Connoisseur Owned it. They're doing more giveaways. When I was working at BJ's I had a co-worker who was friends with a weekend DJ at The Whale and he said the station is live 6AM-4PM Monday-Friday and Voice-Tracked-Midnight. I don't know if this guy who's on the weekend is live or not.

On the flip-side and I don't know if it's true or not, but I heard only Amy and Holden in the Morning on Radio 104.1 WMRQ are the only live personalities on that station and they're voice-tracked 10AM-Midnight.

Their Spanish CHR Station Bomba Radio is live 6AM-9PM Monday-Thursday. Til 11PM on Fridays.

6AM-10AM Bomba Radio Morning Show with Jr. and Chamny
10AM-2PM DJ Red el colorao
2PM-7PM Hector El Ne-Ne
7PM-9PM The Bomb Squad DJ's Mix Shows (til 11 on Fridays)

"One thing everyone in the car can agree on: The Whale is the worst radio station ever." LOL....

(Huge classic rock fan but because a legendary radio station was of course on that frequency until 2014, I have always avoided listening to The Whale.) The two classic rock stations on the FM dial I do like somewhat are WAQY from Springfield and I-95 from Danbury (which is fringe in the Hartford area of course.)
