Try, Try Again
You guys are coming down pretty hard on WECK's failure to launch. On paper, a morning team with Harv Moore and Tom Donahue looked pretty good. On the air, not so much. It's a very tough transition from music radio to news/talk, and even tougher when you're dealing with equipment issues, and the pressure of trying to establish a new station identity - all while your budgeted for spit and bailing wire.
I give them credit for making the attempt, and for making the tough decision to pull the plug on Harv and try to rebuild the morning show. I hope that they can carve out their niche, and remember that "your hometown station" could get a lift from a resurgent UB sports program. Maybe the revenue from that will help resolve some of the other issues.
