Harvey Holiday and Street Corner Sunday...

Hello everyone. I have this question thats been on my mind for quite some time, and please pardon any ignorance on my part if discussed already. I know that 98.1's Street Corner Sunday program is not live from the studio. How exactly is that done? Does Harvey do the wraparounds live at home and the engineers handle the rest in the studio Sunday night? Thanks for any insight to this.
The show still sounds great btw.

An interesting thing happened on last night's (Sunday 12/09/2007) show. At one point during the show Harvey mentioned that the Eagles lost. This is interesting because Harvey supposedly does not do this show live. I wonder if Harvey recored both an 'Eagles lost' and an 'Eagles won' announcement and that the technician in the WOGL studio simply inserted the appropriate announcement when the time came. Or is there some other explanation for this?

Since the Eagles normally lose, what's to understand? It was like saying it gets dark at night.

Did he specify which team defeated the Eagles? How about a score? Or was it a generic "they lost" statement?

It was a generic 'Eagles lost' annoncement. Nothing about who they played (the Giants), nothing about the 57 yard missed filed goal by Philadelphia that bounced off the right upright, nothing about the 16-13 final score. I think it was just somthing Harvey recorded prior to the airing of Street Corner Sunday.

Another interesting thing about Sunday's show. At a few points during the show Harvey was doing a contest and asking for the 9th caller. A few minutes later Harvey would offer congratulations to the 9th caller without actually indentifying who the 9th caller was. This happens whenever Harvey does a contest during Street Corner Sunday. He would congratulate the winner but never identify who the winner actually was. This leads me to believe that Street Corner Sunday is either pre-recorded or voice-tracked and that Harvey is not announcing anything live on that show.

Forget that just ask Harvey how many unpaid parking tickets he has in Reading, PA.
That should get some kind of answer!
