Has 104.3 KBCN blown out country for ESPN Radio?

My hair/beard attendant asked me today what's up with KBCN, since she's been a flipflopper between it and KHOZ. Told her I haven't been listening to much radio lately so no idea; that's when she said she'd heard them saying "ESPN, all sports, and mostly football." Just Googled them and it says the website has been shut down. Good for KHOZ but kind of a shame for area listeners, epecially some where KBCN may have had the better signal.

Answering my own Q in case anyone's interested, found their FB page:

"As you can tell by listening we are now ESPN Sports Radio...and your home for the razorbacks...thank you for your support of real country kbcn and thanks in advance of your continued support of our new direction.....we appreciate you and wish you a happy new year....watch for a new facebook page coming soon....Beemer."

now...it's no wonder that LIsa Johnson left. Hopefully this will lead to a much needed change in management there...if it hasnt already.

good luck beemer....take care and good luck

Pearson also owns KTTG Mena/Fort Smith and this seems to be exactly the same programming as them. Since KTTG/KBCN/KMAC all have the same programming, ESPN 96.3 out of Fort Smith is now also known as "ESPN Arkansas".

I can somewhat understand the flip of KBCN. Their transmitter out of Marshall still puts a pretty decent signal into both Harrison and Mountain Home. But, I don't really understand the flip of KMAC, considering the transmitter is up by Gainesville, Missouri and serves both West Plains (which last time I was there already has an ESPN radio affiliate at 100.9) and Mountain Home. Yeah, the signal for KMAC is a bit better than KBCN in Mountain Home, but it seems that 104.3 is adequate enough.
