This will actually be fun, as it gave me an excuse to check my 'Space page. Ahem:

1. While I could halfway believe someone using MySpace to creatively cause buzz for a new radio station, wouldn't it be better to do so after said radio station has launched and not before? But then, that assumes anyone can believe this page is legit. Let's continue...

2. Why would a new page for a new station feature comments dating back to November 2007?

3. Why would the address for said station (when actually licensed and headquartered in Pensacola) have an address as myspace.com/mobileal ? Shouldn't it be, say, myspace.com/movin1007 ? That is, unless that domain were already taken. You know, I'm curious...

4. Hey! There's a "Movin 100.7" in Jacksonville, FL! And with a doppelganger of a logo at that MySpace address, movin1007fm.com, and--what's this--a "Movin 100.7" in Salt Lake City? WTH is going on!!!

In short, I think someone's trying to 'punk' someone.

I'd listen if they did it. I think the MySpace page is a fake, though.

The "Movin'" format is licensed and copyrighted through Alan Burns & Associates. 100.7 in Pensacola is owned by Cumulus and, knowing how Cumulus is run these days, the Dickey boys aren't going to pay ANYONE to license a brand from them. They would create their own weird form of the station.... probably call it "Relocatin" or something like that.

Just checked the page and it appears whatever references to "Movin" are gone - headline is "under construction" while the "About Me" reads "this page is under construction and will return soon". Also no default photo.

I guess if they really wanted to be an "official" Myspace page for a radio station, they should have registered the /movin1007 URL on Myspace...

... which ironically does exist at http://www.myspace.com/movin1007 - however, this could be a "legit" page with a default promo playing; however, it only has 1 friend ("Tom") to the other page's nearly 1,700... And why is Mobile's "top friend" Atlanta?

By way of Google, here's what the Myspace page looked like on February 27. No references to Movin, from what I see:
