Has Anyone Purchased the new Wi-Fi Internet Radio ?

[size=12pt]In case you haven't heard there's a new wireless internet radio called "Wi-Fi Internet Radio" that only needs a Wi-Fi connection or a cable modem internet conection via a router. Here's the link for the company is selling them http://www.wdyn.net/wifiradio.html
I believe you can also purchase at other retailers as well. Anyone own one please give a review of the Wi-Fi internet Radio here.
I'm wondering how the radio connects on a secure internet connection since its has no way to type in access codes.

maybe you should do some more research. this is hardly the first wireless or wired "set top" player. there's actually several dozen now if you include boomboxes like Philips Streamium.

for wifi set-tops, might i recommend the Slim Devices "Squeezebox"...
or an Escient FireBall (if you have the money & want the best, fireball is it)

there's also the Torian InFusion, a portable wifi unit that's literally not much bigger than a credit card, and about half an inch thick.

the best part, you get HQ radioio streams as featured presets in nearly every set-top & portable hardware/software there is. </shameless_self_plug> heheheh ::)

I think there 's a place in Austrailia that manufactures the credit card type model you mentioned. It sells for eithier 1 or 299. I just wonder if these models have a pin for stereo speaker hookup and stereo capability. They should. Right now I would like to pick one up, but away from my residence except for a few wifi spot coffe shops, it's most likely useless.

That's it, That's awesome. But will it do me for traveling on the road with the internet stations?, even on a dirt bike..... IIII don't think so. Not yet, but I think it's neat.

It's a good unit, but you won't need anything that big, especially when you deal with MP3's, aac+, etc. All that is is a changer server while the little guys perform as good as the big guys. The rest is in all in your speakers. Those Logic Tech Z5500 model computer speakers performs almost as well as my 2000 dollar subtowers. That's why audio chains are dropping out or converting into media computers like Best Buy and Circuit City.
