Has CBS taken a brave step on the AMs?

It's definitely the same flavor as before, comparing the sound on the 1972 Motorola.
Same width, same balance, same sound for the sidebands.
Will WTMJ Milwaukee get upraded? They are still on the old super-hash version.
They're noisier at 80 miles than the Chicago stations are at 20.
I wonder who decides when and where the upgrades will be applied.
I also wonder if ibiquity is eating the costs on these upgrades?
It seems they were careful to do them all in a fairly short time window last Aug in Chicago.
 
CBS's WCCO in Minneapolis seems to have a LOT of HD outages, at all hours...
