Has Dave Ward gone AWOL from ABC-13?

Lately, he's been gone from that station for the past 2 weeks now. I was wondering if he has been hospitalized. This guy has been a fixture over the past 3 decades now, and Right Now Tom Abrahams, Art Rascon, & Erik Barajas have all been filling in as we speak. Does anybody know?
 
I wonder if he's checking out funeral plans and mausoleums, seeing he was ancient when I was a kid, he would be dang well near the visage of The Crypt Keeper by now...
