Has Jimmy Myers on WTKK(96.6FM) gone completely crazy ?

It's great to be driving to my relatives on Easter Sunday and happen to have WTKK on the car radio and hear how Mr.Myers is telling'Black America' that "we gotta take things into our own hands" and "there's gonna be violence in the streets,because the (white) man is lynching and crucifying all our black political candidates like Obama and Deval."This guy,over his entire illustrious career ,has always been paranoid,and always thinks race is involved in everything.He is undoubtably the angriest and most jaded broadcaster in this area.All he wants for callers are sycophants who agree with his venomous bigotted views.I noticed that any callers who disagree with him are talked over and insulted and branded as ignorant racists themselves. I remember on the radio many years ago(probably on 850AM before he wore out his welcome as he always does) that the same Jimmy Myers argued that it was impossible for any black man to be a racist. Obviously Mr. Myers didn't listen to the Rev.Wright talk or even to his own rhetoric on the radio. Why is this guy so hateful and angry ? Last time I checked he has a 'no heavy lifting' job and no matter what venom he spews on the air he always seems to get another job on the radio. Talk about a 'golden parachute'.............. What a country,Jimmy. The rest of us actually have to be accountable for our actions and words at work.

Carol Simpson more or less said the same thing last Friday with Emily, albeit in much less obstreperous prose (I didn't hear JM).

It's just the way it is. JM must have forgot that Detroit's mayor is undoubtedly being framed as well. Rather than approach a brother's problems pragmatically it's easier to create red herrings.

Its a WTKK So called Problem . They know what Jimmy is like . No suprise here . Do your thang Jimmy . Speak what on your mind , If the Haters dont like it ,the haters can Turn the Channel .

OK,simple enough.This 'hater' WILL turn the channel.....Call me naive.I just didn't think a broadcaster could advocate violence on the radio.Another statement he said was "And 'they'(the white establishment) better hit me with the first shot,because I'm good with a gun and I won't miss".If the races were reversed here, this guy would be long gone.Such a double standard.

They know what Jimmy is like
Which is why I say it's "just the way it is." Jimmy could say anything and nobody would care. In a way, it's a form of disrespect. Say anything, because it means nothing.
~~~ Anybody remember how Jimmy left Ch.4? I actually saw it. I think he did his 'and that's what it is in sports' line. Took his wired earpiece out, tossed it across the desk. Got up and walked off the set. I can't remember the two weekend anchors names but I can picture them.
Well, Jimmy is telling it like it is from his perspective.
I think callers should too, by saying that Jimmy is a 'Typical Black Man.' I mean, language like that is now part of our approved and accepted lexicon, so sayeth Obama. As long as Obama is out there stereotyping 'Typical White Women,' there's no harm and no foul.
I remembered when Jimmy used to walk around the building doing his 'angry black man' routine, and everyone used to wonder what he was talking about. Just why, exactly, did he think he actually had his job?
He was so well-liked that the TV techs tried to sabotage his last broadcast. You may remember that whenever he voice-cued some video, it was anyone's guess what would actually run. I remember that one of them was a head-on shot of a old-fashioned railroad locomotive rushing down the tracks, instead of a clip of some game action.
They just wanted him to go away, happy or angry. I guess angry won out, which was okay with everyone.
Regards,
TSB
Wow...that's amazing. So he essentially 'black-balled' himself with respect to local TV?
I suppose I have to be careful what I say about Jimmy Myers. I think he is a racist with a big mouth. I really cant stand the man. On a personal note I went to Grahm Jr College in the late 70's and he was the basketball coach, lol.
