Per reports on ba.broadcast, KCNL waas off the air this morning, and returned at around nonn with a Spanish AC format, replacing the English alternative format.

Can anyone verify this? I can not pick this signal up in the City right now.

This will be interesting to see the first major market battle between "La Preciosa" and "Recuerdo." I assume KCNL wanted the disenfranchised KBRG listener - but are there enough of them - and won't a lot of them stay with 100.3?

KSJO has a really inferior signal, so some of the field advantage goes to Recuerdo.

In Phoenix, the Amor listeners definitely stayed with Recuerdo. And they increased in first month by 150%.

Yeah, but KBRG only played AC oldies. Recuerdo is not AC.
