Has KTSA Stopped Broadcasting in HD?

I noticed over the past several days that the "hash" noise/static that I used to hear in Austin at 540 and 560 AM during the day (indicating KTSA at 550 AM was broadcasting in HD) has stopped. I can pick up KLVI Beaumont at 560 again -- just curious if it's temporary -- or has KTSA bailed on HD?

Could be, but I imagine it's only temporary while they move between buildings. I've heard their talent say that they're in the process of moving everyone out of the building on Eisenhauer.

Your right, at the moment, KTSA is not in HD, WOAI is. KJ is not. must be tech problems?

Mr. Brian A. Billeck sent me this email in regard to this post that was emailed to him:

Regarding the HD: The HD broadcast was a mandate and a push from CBS Radio.

In September KTSA-AM was sold (along with sister station KJXK-FM / JACK-FM) to
BMP, LP.

BMP, LP does not broadcast its stations in HD. This may change during the
course of time, however at currently KTSA-AM as well as KJXK-FM and the other
BMP, LP stations will not broadcast in HD.

KTSA-AM is available on-line at KTSA.com so you may enjoy listening to KTSA in
the office if the signal is unclear.

Can WOAI-HD be heard in Austin?
I can tell you i'm about 20 or so miles South of Austin, I can pick up the HD signal full stregnth.

I dont understand if KTSA can have HD and already has the transmitter for it, why doesnt BMP turn it back on? Looks like if they want HD to work they will turn all the stations in HD.
