Has Q's Derringer Show 'Jumped the Shark'?

With the firing of Ross MacLeod and the unfortunate hiring of John Derringer's unfunny brother, Bill Hayes, I think the show has finally 'jumped the shark'.

Me thinks Derringer will be fired too in the not too distant future.

Corus sucks ass. They don't know a good thing when it's right under their nose.

The latest rumour (true or not) is that Corus is going to be sold.
By eliminating the higher paid staff, it makes the business look more profitable.
Letting Derringer go would be good speculation...but why not let Oakley go from sister station 640 first?
That would make more sense!
 
As much as I like Oakley, I don't think he deserves to be the highest paid on AM 640. My understanding is he rakes in 750,000 a year, about the same as Derringer.

I'd trade Oakley for Andrew Krystal any day.

But this thread is about Derringer's show.
I enjoy listening to John, Ryan and Maureen every morning even though I miss Ross. I hope Q107 keeps them and their entire format of classic rock if Corus gives them up.
I couldn't believe I heard the song 'Piano Man' by Billy Joel the other morning on Derringer's show. It's a nice song, but I don't think it's Q's style.
Perhaps a big change is coming. :(
 
...And perhaps Ross MacLeod, Derringer, or anybody else in the know could respond to this thread.
I know they visit... ;)
