Has Ricci lost his mind?

Hope his real estate license is up to date when the station flips in a year and a half.

Considering the massive amount of marketing Movin did between March & May and got no results for it, that about says this station and Rick Dees are failures. I guess the best face they can put on it is if they didn't, how much lower would this station be that can't even crack a 1 share? What a waste of shareholders money. This station won't be around past 2007. With the upcoming Emmis shareholders meeting on July 11, they'll be screaming bloody murder over another Emmis failure and demanding this station be changed or sold.

Why did All Access list Ricci Filliar as PD/Morning Host at KRLA? He never did mornings at KRLA. Never had full time on-air shift in L.A. period. Emmis will soon find out he is just a glorified music scheduler with no other real programming knowledge. They sure didn't do their research well on this hire. Of course hearing what Movin sounds like is enough to know they're clueless at Emmis anyway.

No, Ricci hasn't lost his mind. Quite the contrary as I've worked with him on a previous occasion and have found him to move cautiously and deliberately. If he's going to make a move or leap from one ship to another, it's going to be for a darned good reason.

I don't know what his plans are regarding programming or music for the station. However, this is the perfect scenario for Ricci...he knows the audience extremely well and has a good grip of the musical genre. I can think of only a hand full of people who can take Movn' to the next level, and Ricci is at the top of the list. I wish him continued success.

BTW: Ricci did morning @ KRLA in the late 90s.

He never did mornings at KRLA. He owes his entire knowledge of radio to Mucho Morales. They'll soon find out this guy is nothing more than a lightweight. Typical that Emmis can't figure that out before hiring someone.
