I’m not picking up anything on that signal anymore. I know they’re scheduled to move to Providence, and I wonder if they’re now shut down.
The station ID on NBC10 now says “WBTS Nashua; WYCN Providence”.

This entire Boston / Manchester repack has left me thoroughly annoyed. Not only do I get ZERO signal on WYCN, I am also getting ZERO signal on WUTF as well as signals plagued with a blizzard of pixels on the RF-5 stations and also the RF-29 stations.
OY!
Why the hell would this group move a station closer to Providence when they already have WJAR-TV (NBC) channel 10? I don't get it. What next? WVIT-TV (NBC) channel 30 of New Britain/Hartford would move to Enfield, CT to target Springfield and erode the numbers of WWLP-TV (NBC) channel 22?
I'm certain if WHDH-TV channel 7 had different owners at the time, they'd still be an NBC affiliate today.
You're right. When I first saw the announcement it was a surprize to me. But I cannot see the station, which is low power, ever taking the NBC affiliation from WJAR. I would suspect it would be like some of the stations owned by Howard Stirk Broadcasting and carry diginets like Antenna TV and Decades on its main channel and subchannels, but it's too early to tell.
Yes, WBTS-LD virtual 8 is completely gone here in Somerville. Their reception was sometimes intermittent with my indoor antenna here, so I wasn't sure.
I meant WYCN-LD. That's what it became recently.
Hi alg2468 Thanks for checking in.Hello Channel 83:
I am about 9 miles north of you near the RI-MA line and like you getting zero signal from WYCN on RF36 and WGBH on RF5. I do get WUTF on RF19 and WNEU on RF29 but with a signal that is highly directional, somewhat weak, and occasionally has pixels.
Actually, there has been ONE benefit since the repack. The move of WBPX to Hudson has now resulted in an Ion signal that is strong and reliable here, as opposed to our Rhode Island Ion station, WPXQ, which ever since the move to digital has NEVER had a reliable signal. Now, I never have to bother with WPXQ ever again!
WBPX moving to Hudson caused them to pixellate some here in Somerville. Repositioning my antenna may help, but I haven't felt like bothering.
I only got WPXQ once here during "troppo" conditions.
