Has The Phil Valentine Show been cancelled yet?

Enough to be profitable for Westwood One. Probably one of the highest billing shows at 10 Music Circle East....and I don't work there.....I am in Cleveland.

Valentine is totally predictable and completely indistinguishable from every other squawker on the dial...

...in short he's everything the industry thinks a talk host should be... :p

I kept wondering why that guy was asking people on this board about Valentine's revenues. He coulda just asked WWI or the man himself, not that they'd give out that info.

Oh well...

Actually, original poster asked two questions in original premise(s).

(1) Has PV's show been cancelled? Obviously not, as this afternoon's show was indeed on air.

(2) How much revenue can a third-tier show generate? Question is too vague. However, as Evangelist states, a call to WW1, WTN, Valentine's syndicator or the corporation's CPA would yield an answer along the lines of, "... enough to stay in business" to "none of your business." Perhaps there is a WW1 prospectus that would better answer the original poster's revenue question.

Is Phil's show live from 4-8 p.m. or is part replay of earlier hours? The reason I ask is a while back I was looking at the web site of one of his affiliate stations (in Texas, if I remember correctly) that carried his show from 2-6 p.m. Or maybe I'm just confussed.
As Denny Crane would say "it could just be the mad cow".

Phil's show is live from 4-8pm.
I've heard Phil is live 2-6pm. 4-6pm airs live locally on WTN and 6-8p are a replay of the 2-4pm hours. I could be wrong but hearing Johnny B. on the air between 6-7pm and seeing Johnny B. elsewhere in town at the same would seem to confirm this.

Yes Truth, you are correct. The show is fed to Westwood master control in New York and uplinked live from 2-6 Central time. It is happening in a special syndication studio and booth while down the hall in the WTN air studio, an operator is airing Dave Ramsey live and originating from his Brentwood studios until 4. Notice that Phil rarely if ever refers back to "what happened last hour". Affiliates clear different hours at different times. A station in Iowa for example, may record two hours of the show and air it at 2 in the morning. Phil's live hours on WTN were moved around a couple years ago.

I sometimes catch the Re-Phil on the WTN internet stream overnight. I wish Phil and Johnny the best. They are two talented pro's.

His show is also carried on Sunday from 9:00PM to 12 MN on http://www.progressive1230.com/main.html here in Columbus Ohio.
He's been on here for over a year now but for some reason it's not listed
on their program schedule.

I did hear Phil Valentine say a couple of months ago that they are looking for
another station in Houston, Texas to carry the show. BTW, What station was
he on in Houston?
