Has The Weather Channel returned to chroma key?

Been watching The Weather Channel today...and I can't help but notice that they're not using their giant HD screen at all. They're back to standing in front of the key wall. Have they ditched the big display? It looked pretty hazy anyway...
 
Wow... would they really invest in all that expensive technology just to end up ditching it? I bet that they are just having technical difficulties with the big screen today and had no choice but to use the old Chroma key. That's just my guess.
 
The big screen was a bad idea, but as I type this, they are standing in front of the screen.

Hey at least it's a start.....Now all they need to do is drop the weather shows and start reporting and caring about the weather like they did back in the 90's.
