Has this happened before?

I may not have missed anything. Ed was congratulating Bortus on laying an egg. We didn't know before Ed said "Congratulations" what he was congratulating Bortus for. That would be normal. The other clue was no V-chip rating. But it seemed to be just about the entire episode.
