Hattiesburg-Laurel CC Cluster

Given that CC is planning to sell over 400 stations in markets outside the top 100, I think there's a good chance that the Pine Belt cluster could be sold, as well as maybe a few or all the other markets in the state. Of course, that's pure speculation on my part.

No speculation, on allaccess.com's website it lists all the markets that they are selling in and Laurel is listed (It lists it only as Laurel instead of Laurel Hattiesburg)

Listed for Mississippi is Tupelo (market 189), Laurel-Hattiesburg (market 227) and Meridian (market 295)

Listed for Louisiana is Shreveport (as CC has already sold the Alexandria market)

Listed for Alabama is Montgomery and Gasden

Look under news from Thursday for the link

RFLA

While we're speculating, one thing to consider is that CC may not necessairly sell ALL of it's stations in a cluster, possibly choosing to dump the AM stations and any FMs it may consider to be "underperforming". That would be consistant with their recent move to put two or more clusters under one management team, as is what is happening with Meridian and Jackson.

Just a thought...

Laurel is Hattiesburg. CC only has two stations licensed to Laurel in the cluster. Maybe Larry Blakeny will buy the cluster?
