Have Fridays replaced Saturdays as the network dumping ground ?

I'll have to disagree with you. Friday still has some good original programming, while Saturday night (especially in the fall) is repeats, news magazines, and sports.

Friday night still has Blue Bloods which is one of my favorite shows. I don't watch any network TV on Saturday nights.

Fridays still has Shark Tank on ABC and that's a really good show to watch. Love hearing the sharks bickering over products and sales pitches...

No. Saturday has lots of sports that it didn't used to have, but that is the only original programming aside from CBS' 48 Hours Mystery.

Both Fox and ABC have college football on Saturday nights, which does well for them.

CBS and NBC have reruns, surrendering the night.

Fox had their traditional "Cops"/"America's Most Wanted" Saturday slate for many years, but they both have since gone to cable (and in AMW's case, was cancelled by Lifetime).

Fox in recent years has moved some of their NASCAR races and MLB games to Saturday nights, as well as having periodic UFC cards.

ABC does reruns and movies on Saturday nights from January-August

For a few weeks CBS was airing reruns of 2 Broke Girls on Saturday Nights and while the ratings aren't as high as the new episodes on Mondays at 8:30PM they were going up slightly week to week as opposed to the new episodes on Mondays which are going down slightly week to week. It should be interesting to see how the Mike & Molly reruns did this past Saturday compared to the other reruns.

Must be me, but I see nothing really exciting on Friday nights. However, the college football games on Saturday have expanded and IMO are better than the reruns that once filled Saturday night.
