Have John & Ken Been Vindicated?

Facts do not matter to loudmouth career activists. They all have their own agendas, not matter what side of the isle they yell from.

The ones who piled on J&K achieved theirs since Robin and Clear Channel caved into their pressure due to the new religion of political correctness. All you had to do is listen to 10 minutes of Charlie Beck on Handel's show this morning and realize how stupid and pandering politicians like Charlie Beck have become. It's all about caving into political correctness.

Right on, Channelflipper! And the sad thing about their suspension is that they never will be edgy and are playing it safe by attacking bureaucrats and politicians.

Sorry, j&k, but that's stale, predictable and boring radio.

Uh, no. Whitney Houston had traces of cocaine in her system. She had admitted to struggling with cocaine abuse numerous times - that was no secret. While admitting to abusing cocaine and other drugs, she specifically stated that she did NOT use crack. Cocaine and crack are not the same, and if you think they are tell that to the lawmakers, judges, etc. on behalf of all the men in prison who've received harsher sentences for crack possession than those who've been in possession of cocaine.

A "crack ho" is one who prostitutes him/herself to acquire crack, usually because they can't afford to buy it. Whitney Houston did not prostitute herself for drugs, and if John & Ken want to accuse her of that they should call up Andrew Breitbart's fat ghost and have him produce shocking :-o, damning video evidence of it (as he is so adept at ::)).

So, John & Ken had no reason to refer to Whitney Houston as a "crack ho" other than to throw red meat at the Cro-Magnon segment of their audience. No, they are not "vindicated" - they are the same dimwitted, cornball, trash hacks they were before.

What's up with all the damn Political-corectness? I am so sick of hearing this and hearing that about how "oh, what that guy said on the radio is so awful..... FIRE HIM!" This is freakin' radio we're talking about!

Could you define “political-correctness”? Often that term is thrown around by people who don’t agree with something yet can’t find a way to rebut it.

Whitney Houston was not a crack ho any more than Marilyn Monroe, Farrah Fawcett, or Andrew Breitbart was. Whitney Houston did not do crack nor was she a prostitute, and there’s no evidence to suggest otherwise. Perhaps you can explain the rationale behind John and Ken referring to her as a crack ho?

J&K have every right to say what they want. In turn, anybody in the U.S. has a right to criticize and challenge anything they say. Free speech is not a one-way street. If you want to say something on public airwaves then be man enough to accept the responsibility and consequences for whatever comes out of your mouth. Or at least back up what you say, but they didn't because (1) they're cowards and (2) they were wrong and hence couldn't back up what they said without sounding even more stupid.

A business that employs workers has a right to choose to sanction or fire employees based on that employee’s potential to harm the business or brand. Any media worker that doesn’t think his paycheck is worth that risk of criticism or sanction should get the #@%% out of the media business or at least buy his own radio station.

No amount of whining about political correctness will keep people – even so-called “community activists” - from exercising their rights as citizens and consumers to voice concerns, opinions, complaints, or whatever they want. Anyone who has a problem with that should move to a society that curtails counter-argument.

BTW, if this subject is causing illness blame the people who keep starting threads about it here. To some, I guess there's only one "politically correct" way to view this issue - J&K as the poor wittle victimz ::)? Regardless, J&K barely warrant the attention - two yahoos shoveling inane crap to all the Beavises and Buttheads of SoCal. It’s “freakin’ radio” indeed!

Comedy=tragedy+time.

Had John & Ken said what they said about Whitney, say ... a month after her death, they wouldn't have gotten the backlash they did.

End of story!
