Have you ever called a talk show?

So with so many people here revved up about every syllable they hear on talk radio, have any of you ever actually called a talk show (local or not)? I called Bruce Williams once in the 80s, but that's it.

Yes. Called many as I was growing up. I talked to Steve White both on HJJ and WKRI. He even invited me down to the studio to watch him work while at HJJ. Used to call Big Ange on WKRI which led me to my first radio job as an intern. Also used to call Paul Perry on HJJ daily. "I became the character Darryl B which developed a following.

Called Carolyn FOX up while at HJY and she invited me to come on the show. I called WPRO and spoke to Joan Rivers who was sitting in locally for Rush limbaugh for a few days. I've talked to Howard Stern numerous times. I even came up with a goofy nickname "MaMaMonkey" for Stern's Big Toothed producer, a name which he loved. He even included it in his book "Private Parts".

I know there have been others. So yeah.... I've called talk shows.

But have you ever called DePetro, Cianci, Yorke, or Allen?

No. I don't call any talk shows anymore. It was something I was into doing in my teens and 20s.
But it pretty much stopped there. My last call to a talk show was when I called Joan Rivers back in 2003 simply because I have always liked Joan and I wanted to say Hi. I also wanted to get to the bottom line of what happened between her and Johnny Carson. That was it. it was the last phone call to a talk show that I have ever made. I don't have a desire to call anymore. Been there, done that.

I can't believe with some of the talk radio obsessed slam artists we have on here that they haven't responded that they've ever called anyone. Maybe they just like to talk about talk radio or maybe they're in the same building as the ones they'd want to call.
