Nope...but not surprising in Indiana.

I did hear KDDS 99.3 when I was at the central Oregon coast in the fall 2007, though barely, using an indoor antenna thru tropo. But I never heard any West Coast station here in the East. I did heard KING FM while driving along I-5 in Salem, OR though the signal was weak. That's about it.

I've never heard any west coast stations in the midwest. I have heard east coast & Florida here.

Have heard KIRO-FM (then KBSG) in Astoria, OR. That's about it. Never got a west coast station via e-skip, not even from places like Colorado or New Mexico - let alone here.

When I was in Oregon in 2007, I didn't hear any E-skip. The farthest station I heard in Va. was KNNK 100.5 in Herford, TX, 20 miles from the NM border and 43 miles SW of Amarillo, TX, through Eskip, and that was years ago.

While driving back to Los Angeles on the I-15 near the California-Nevada border, I was trying to pick up KRTH

when the noise suddenly quieted and a man was reading local news about Vancouver.

At the end of it he ID'd " CFMI, New Westminster " and then faded out. There was a lot of E-skip

that afternoon but CFMI was the only one I heard ID.

I live in Indiana,,, not far from Bob... but ive never received Fm farther west than back in 2000-2001 I could pick up all the Denver FMs,,, but thats the farthest west ive received.

I did receive Spain in South Carolina, but that isnt surprising with the warm salt water Atlantic, and no stations in between, its no wonder that LOCA fm 99.1,,,NOW ON 96.1 and Cadena 100 went 4000 miles across salt water with a straight path.

From southern Michigan i've heard Es as far west as Montana, Utah and New Mexico. My distance record however is to El Paso, TX @ 1,373 miles.

An interesting footnote. The Utah station I received via e-skip, KOAS 97.5, is no longer on the air. The station shut down shortly after I logged them. Good thing I got it out of the way!

Logged some Wyoming, Colorado and South Dakota but nothing from out your way.

The farthest west I've ever heard from Chicago is Kansas.
Hey Radioman...if 92.9 is clear in your area, keep an eye to the west...I've heard KAFF 92.9 Flagstaff,AZ quite strongly here at about 1437 miles. That's my farthest FM catch.

In Chicago they have 93.1 WXRT and U-93 on 92.9,,, though im sure a setup like yours BOB could null those out.

U-93 is is South Bend,,, it wouldnt be audible in your area,, but you can hear it in Northwest indiana near Gary and Munster and all that.
