Have You Seen Katie Lately

I just saw Katie doing a promo for tonight's Evening News. She has really been porking up since she left the Today Show. She looks like Tyne Daly, the ugly one on Cagney and Lacey. No wonder the ratings keep dropping. NBC has a new producer. CBS needs a new dietitian and personal trainer.
 
Was it really necessary to insult Tyne Daly? I don't like Katie but to her defense she is fifty and it happens.

Meredith is older than Katie, and looks quite a bit more attractive.

Really, looks should be completely unimportant to a news anchor. What matter more are gravitas and credibility, of which Katie has none.
 
Katie isn't the only one.

Forget about Katie, have you seen Lynda Carter lately? Back when she played Wonder Woman on television she was drop dead gorgeous. Today she looks like a refugee from a Jenny Craig fat farm. I guess all that booze she’s consumed over the years finally caught up with her. Damn shame. Meanwhile Christie Brinkley, who I believe is the same age as Carter, still looks fantastic. As for Katie, sorry but I haven't watched her since her debut as the CBS Evening News anchor. And apparently, judging from the ratings, I am not the only one who is watching another network at 6:30 p m either.
 
I suppose to be fair, it needs to be said how William Shatner and John Travolta have beefed up from their 20-something days as well.

Or for that matter, how I have. :-\
