Hawaii to finally get Sirius XM radio!

They want to install land-based repeaters in Honolulu and eventually place a spot beam on Hawaii and Alaska. And Honolulu is the major population center of Hawaii, but there are four other islands with population that wont get anything soon.
It might be interesting to see if it works, technically at least. But the angle of the incoming satellite signal will be a problem for the areas on the west side of each island, in particular the Kailua-Kona coast on the Big Island, and also the Ka`anapali and Lahaina side of Maui. The need for repeaters will be critical for those areas, as well as the urban jungle of Honolulu.
