The Tony & Jen Morning Show on WLYT Lite 102.9 is down one as Tony Hayes exits.

Some other notables at CC will be gone in 08 as well, just wait and see.

I listened for a little while this morning and it sounded like Jen was not in the studio the sound of her mic was kind of hollow. Jim Shaffer was doing the show and his mic sounded normal. Jen kept saying she was in the "Traffic Center". Jen added some content but it didn't sound like a two person show.

January and February always seem to be tough months for people in radio. Also for some reason when I got sacked it was right after I bought a new car.

Anybody know if he got fired or if he left on his own?

I might possibly have you beat, Mike. I got it after I'd been assured of a new contract and had just bought a 50-year old house that needed a ton of work in Charlotte. My wife and I damn near killed ourselves getting the repairs made so as not to take an enormous bath to get out from under it...which we did anyway.

The reason so many radio people choose to drive a seven year old "beater" and live in an apartment... been there, done all that. Sheridan will know I'm joking... somewhat... ;)

The cars I had while in radio while not beaters were far from new so yes I know. I drove a (no frills) Chevy Luv pickup that I bought when it was 6 years old and drove it for 9 years! The bad thing was we had some really hot summers with temps around 105 and this truck didn't have A/C. Since my wife couldn't seem to hold a job for long we had a policy of only one car payment at a time. As for apartments, I lived in an apartment far too long, and it was not by choice. Such is the glamorous life of a Radio "Star". ;D
