Hayworth and BOTP

J.D. Hayworth brings Blow Out the Phones back to KFYI. It's been five years since Bob Mohan left. I know Mohan brought the bit to KFNX.

So what do you think? Is it right for Hayworth to use Mohan's signiture segment? Or since it was on KFYI for years, it's their 'property' and any host can use it?

If I remember correctly, JD said he received Bob's blessing to use that bit. ;D

I think it's a tip of the hat to Bob Mohan, some of the callers have said as much. And , it's a blast to listen to!

i've always like the concept.

give the callers 30 seconds for their thoughts and opinions, uninterrupted.

how much time do the listeners get to botp? and what day and time does it happen?

i only listen to kfyi for savage & drudge, when i'm not listening to their shows online.

You realize KFYI has (figuratively) screwed Drudge around.

As of two weeks ago--they now air only the first two hours,
on a one-hour delay from 8-10pm PT.

but, the above example is another reason why i don't listen to terrestrial anymore.

kfyi has always dropped the third hour of drudge in favor of best of art bell (join in progress 2nd hour from previous week).

i'm forced to listen to 640, 770 or online stream for drudge hour 3.

kfyi should start coast to coast at midnight and do local programming til 12.

Probably a blessing. KFYI sounds worse than it has awhile.

BOTP was cool 18 years ago. I may be the only one, but I think the show sucks. All JD says all hour is Carlos in Scottsdale that was 18 seconds, not bad. Meg in Phoenix that was 22 seconds, good job. ETCETRA.

BOTP seems like a great thing to do when the talk host has nothing to talk about and is desperate.
