HBO's Phil Spector bio-pic

Any thoughts on HBO's "biography" of the Phil Spector murder trial? It aired Sunday night.

It was OK...centered on his first trial..the character made references to his recording achievments, they played a few of his hits at different parts. Pretty much portrayed him as a semi-wacko...he did mis-state about Sam Cooke being shot by a jealous husband. he was shot by a motel manager, who thought Sam Cooke was assaulting a young lady, Cooke had taken to a hollywood motel.

More interesting is the May debut on HBO of "Behind the Candelabra" the story of Liberace starring Michael Douglas as Liberace.
His lover is portrayed by Matt Damon..Damon was asked how he prepared for the role, especially the kissing Parts with Douglas?
His answer was hilarious..he said "I just kept telling myself, These are the lips that kiss Kathrine Zeta Jones"

My believability was totally lost when Pacino as Spector handled a record album by the black surface. I'm sure that Spector handled his records by the edges, as any professional would. Or maybe this is just SPECuLATION!

i must add that i recently watched the Spector interview with the BBC and Pacino has nailed the Part of Phil Spector down to the dress, wigs and the trembling of speech and hands...I anticipate a great performance by Douglas as Liberace..... Both actors will probably be nominated for Emmy's, interesting to see who wins. Also nice job by Helen Mirren as his lawyer.
