HD-2 Channel Listings

Just wondering...is there a comprehensive listing of HD-2/3 programming for the RDU market anywhere. It would seem that if I entered Raleigh, NC at Iheartradio.com, I would see the FM's and the HD's. However, what I see is RVA, DCG, Kiss, Rush, and Bob and The Showgram's stream. There is no mention of the HD programming. Any help on this would be appreicated! Thanks!

iBiquity keeps a fairly up-to-date list of Raleigh-area HD offerings. I have a contact there with whom I share any changes, and they're quick to update the list.

Perhaps in the Raleigh area. I found that in the Triad the only accurate information are the call letters for WPTI, they aren't Spanish Adult Hits anymore and neither they carry a HD-2 signal. :'(

Yeah, besides WMAG, WVBZ, and sometimes WJMH and WPAW, I can't even receive most of the Triad HD2 offerings, let alone keep up with them.

Would it be worth buying an HD radio in Roanoke Rapids. I get most of the 100kw-er's from RDU. Does that mean I would get the HD-2 and 3 channels?

Wanna have some fun...go to Radio Shack and try to carry on a conversation with a sales rep about HD FM!

I doubt you would consistently receive many HD channels in Roanoke Rapids, save for WFXK (Foxy 104.3), WRVA-FM (100.7 the River), and maybe WHRV/Hampton Roads's new NPR station in Emporia, if their HD is up. WFXK doesn't have any sub-channels and WRVA-FM's classic rock sub-channel is on-again, off-again, though the WHRV stations do offer multicasts).

FM HD signals don't match their FM analog counterparts--they get very spotty outside city grade, and as for the AMs, forget it unless you're pretty close to the transmitter site (there aren't any AMs airing an HD signal in Raleigh-Durham, maybe one or two in Richmond or Norfolk/Portsmouth/Newport News, but you're way too far out to hear them).

My experience is with an Accurian tabletop unit, using a pair of rabbit ears stretched out all the way for FM and the included AM loop antenna. The included FM wire antenna had to be moved alot to get a lock on local FM HDs. I once tried a roof antenna, but it didn't work as well as the rabbit ears.
