HD-2 Sound Quality [Specifically 101.1]

I put this out on the HD Radio board as well but figured I might get some good responses on the NYC Board.

I have the B.A. HD Receptor Radio HD in the NYC Metro area and was wondering what other listeners thought about the sound quality of HD2 in New York City. The HD-1s have incredible sound, as well as most HD-2s, but, for instance, 101.1 CBS-FM HD2 has been sounding quite mediocre at best. It doesn't compare to the sounds quality of KTU's HD2 or WLTW's HD2. Just the past week, it sounded as if some of the elements (V/O sweepers, jingles, and some songs) were beginning to sound much clearer, but now it's back to the same sound as before.

Anyone else notice the same problem with 101.1 HD2? Just curious... I don't think it is the radio's problem since the other HD2s sound perfectly fine.

Thanks!

Can't really comment on HD-2 since I don't have a compatible radio, but what I CAN say is that CBS-FM's HD sounds Awesome Quality-Wise. In sharp contrast the 'PLJ HD feed sounds AWFUL...as in horribly compressed, distorted and worse than the analog feed. Anyone else experience this?

PS- I "DO" Like JACK!!!!

So, you're the one? As to WPLJ, I don't listen to their HD 1 channel but the HD 2 & BA 3 sounds fine (I really only spend time with their HD 2) on my B.A Receptor. The HD 1's and 2's are really still in the experimental stage and there's a lot of tweaking going on.

Yeah admittedly so, I DO LIKE JACK!! I actually am one of about 10 people that I am aware of that share the same sentiment. If I had to pick ONE thing that lures me to Jack is the "variety" and the "Damn I haven't heard that tune in ages" feeling that seems to be missing from ALL the other stations in NYC! Sure I can get 80's hair tunes from 'DHA in Jersey, WNNJ-FM or even Free-FM on the weekends, but why the hell would I want to drive to those areas or wait til the weekend to hear what "I" personally enjoy.

Let's face it, either you LIKE JACK or HATE JACK. I have yet to find someone on the fence about it!

Just my $5 response!
