HD: DOA?

Re: "Cooke: Is HD Radio Dead on Arrival?"

Just because there are a few very popular online streamers, does not mean that IN TOTAL online streaming of terrestrial radio isn't dominant, any more than having an AM talk station as the market leader means that more people listen to AM than FM in a market. Apples and oranges.
Prove it, or dream on.

That cuts both ways. YOU "prove it or move on". Did it occur to you for a second that YOU had "proven" nothing? I know what I've read (that about 60 percent of total online listening is to terrestrial radio). I know (from looking at statistics on Shoutcast, for instance) that the average internet raido station could get more listeners by opening the control room window, and turning the speakers up LOUD. Where did I read these things? I could spend an hour "googling". But I'm not 700. I have a LIFE (not to mention a job), which I need to get to.

It only takes a few minutes, to find all of these great articles ! :D

Back to the subject of the thread. "HD DOA?" Holland Cooke himself, the man who wrote the article, confirms on page 2 of this thread, YOU TOOK HIS WORDS OUT OF CONTEXT! The answer to the question "Is HD DOA?" is "NO!" This entire thread is built upon a false premise!
