97.3 WFLC Miami - Yes (one program only)
98.3 WRTO-FM Goulds - Yes (one program only)
99.1 WEDR Miami - Yes (one program only)
99.9 WKIS Boca Raton - Yes (Country/Southern Rock "Gretchen 99.9" on HD-2, NOAA/Miami KHB32 on HD-3
100.7 WHYI Ft. Lauderdale - Yes )(New Music "Y-100.7 HD-2")

102.7 WMXJ Pompano Beach (pending)
103.5 WMIB Ft. Lauderdale (Urban Oldies on HD-2)
105.1 WHQT Coral Gables (one program only)
105.9 WBGG Ft. Lauderdale (pending, says AAA will be on HD-2)
106.7 WRMA Ft. Lauderdale (one program only)
107.5 WAMR Miami (says Yes on iBiquity website, but is not on)

AMs are WQAM/560, and WMYM 990...Supposedly WSBR/740 and WWNN/1470 are or have been on as well....Allegedly WHSR/980, too...Of these, I only get an "HD" light on WWNN, but no actual signal...The WJNA/640 listing on the iBiquity website which says "Yes", and the WQBA/1140, which also says "Yes", appear erroneous...All other AMs listed for Miami but saying "No", are indeed, "No". Doubt WKAT will ever go HD since it's owned by Salem now, and they are pretty much set against it on AM as I understand.

95.5 WNUA HD-2 (Mainstream Jazz)
96.3 WBBM HD-2 (Dance)

105.1 WOJO HD-2 (Simmulcast of sister AM)
105.9 WCKG HD-2 (Simmulcast of sister WBBM-AM)
107.5 WGCI HD-2 (Classic Hip Hop)

All of the above have HD-1

Milwaukee:

94.5 WKTI
96.9 WWDV
99.1 WMYX
100.7 WKKV
103.7 WXSS

no HD-2 in Milwaukee yet.

On the AM side:

Chicago:

670 WSCR
720 WGN
780 WBBM

Milwaukee:

620 WTMJ
1640 WKSH

There are a few others that are supposed to be on or supposed to be coming on that I have yet to recieve.

I live 60 miles north of Chicago and 30 miles south of Milwaukee and could get most of these on the first reciever I got. So they get out pretty well if you got a properly working reciever and a good antenna.

Actually WKKV has an HD2 signal though it is carrying it analog audio for now (though I may throw on some other audio this week yet for testing). WRIT will be up in a week or so and in three weeks HD2 (fingers crossed) WQBW should be back up in a few weeks as well. WOKY is slated to be up and running at the end of April. Watch for Docs HD2s to pop up soon.

I haev heard that WKLH is trying to be up late April/early May and Saga is trying to get 1340 on HD (having technical issues).

Chicago AM
1200 (forgot the calls)
1690 WRLL is also HD, in Stereo and running PAD!

Re: HD Market tallys - Nashville

1510 WLAC
90.3 WPLN-FM (HD2: classical & NPR talk but different schedule from analog)
102.5 WVNS-FM
105.9 WNRQ

WNRQ *was* multicasting for awhile but shut off their HD2 channel yesterday. They had oldies on the HD2, though there was some kind of problem with their program feed which may be why they shut it down.

I noticed that Chicago has an HD station on 97.1 and Milwaukee has one on 96.9, i.e. 1st ajacients. It has been my understanding that the HD portion of the signal is on the ajacient channel. Having said that, how is it possible to receive 96.9 and 97.1 in HD from the same location? Wouldn't 96.9's audio portion of the signal cover the lower digital sideband for 97.1 and vica-versa?? I am not challenging you on that point, and am not doubting your veracity, but am just curious on how that is possible. Perhaps I don't understand IBOC as well as I thought.
Edited by Len14043 on 03/29/06 11:33 PM.

97.1 and 96.9 protect each other with driectional antennas (and are about 50 miles from each other). They are also simulcasts playing the same thing.

I have found that I can get one or the other in HD but not both. It just depends on where you are from the transmitters.

I trust that each of them has a different subgenre of classical music.

Washington, DC, also has a few.
Bonneville:
WTOP 103.5 HD-2 (deeper classical)
WGMS 104.1 HD-1 (popular classical), HD-2 (vocal classical, "Viva La Voce, The Station That Sings")
Plus, maybe some part-time non-comms.
______________

Actually, no. WCRB HD-1 is "popular classical" and WCRB HD-2 is the World Classical Network, which is a satellite classical music service that WCRB provides to stations around the country, but it plays the same genre of music.

The two stations are being acquired by Greater Media, which will probably change their format. But in order to change the format of these stations, GM will be required to keep classical music on HD-2; thus, WTKK HD-2. WGBH HD-2 is your generic NPR classical feed, so it's seems a bit deeper than WCRB but isn't all "deep classical".

In a few months, it will only be WTKK HD-2 and WGBH HD-2, but right now it just sounds ridiculous when other stations aren't running HD yet.
