"HD Radio A Free Way To Listen"

"Now HD Radio has a problem. Its window of opportunity to attract listeners away from alternatives like satellite radio, podcasts and MP3 music is starting to close. They're now about two years behind where they expected to be and another year would be — I don't want to say fatal, but — certainly no good at all," said Laura Behrens, an analyst with research firm Gartner... And car stereos will be a major battleground in that fight."

To quote Fibber McGee's wife, "'t'aint free McGee". Now you know why they called him "Fibber".
It is not free when you have to spend $300.00 or more (each) for HD radios that can barely pick up a few local HD Radio stations. Especially since most households already have a half dozen perfectly working radios, and provided radio listeners can get the broadcasters to turn off the HD buzz and interference.
