HD Radio at a super low ball price

Clicking on the link produces this vexing (for HD "fans") news:

SOLD OUT

Aha! The price-point for an HD semi-radio is thus conclusively established: $2.49.

(But what will the price be for the return items? Will they pay customers to take the things?)

Yep, but I wonder if the rebate will ever arrive?
I bought mine the day after the $50 rebate started, mailed it in, and they say it isn't in their system yet!
I hope that they didn't lose it as the radio is only worth $50, not a $100 bucks.

If anybody on the channel lives near iBiquity's Maryland HD-HQ, drop by to see if they're having a yard sale to raise money so they can pay the rebates to radio purchasers! Please check it and report back.

Can't you just see Strew-Bull sitting out there in a lawn chair, next to a bunch of file cabinets, desks and partially-built Decepticons, next to a hand-lettered sign: ALL MUST GO! MAKE OFFER!

Now THAT'S funny!

Maybe they can sweeten the deal: "Will throw in a Peter Ferrara bobble-head or a Bob Struble action figure (your choice)."

IF Strubble was smart, he'd hire William Shatner to make TV commercials for HD radio - can't you just see him in 3 different scenes, one as Captain Kirk in a too tight overstuffed uniform, another as TJ Hooker, then as Denny Crane, each one touting HD radio "...To boldly go where no radio has gone before....Denny Crane..." Now that would be funny, charming, and actually sell a few radios to pay Shatner's bill.
