HD Radio commercials

I am sick of hearing them, they need to spread them out more.

Are these promotions that the station is broadcasting in HD or ads from retailers selling HD radios?

If they are promos, then the station will air them at times on the schedule when there are no commercials to run. If they don't have many promos to choose from, you're likely to hear the same ones more often. It could also be that the station has a mandate from corporate to promote the HD signal with X number of spots per week, and the times you listen are the only times when there are open spots in the schedule.

If they are ads, then the advertiser may have paid a premium to air its spots at a specific time of day/day of week.

FWIW, I'm not defending the overuse of the same spot, just trying to explain how it can happen. :)

Its the stations promotions. They are just to many, I think I heard KVET play twice in one commercial set!
