I dunno if they have started marketing the radio yet, but its coming out soon, I'd wait until all the HD stations are broadcasting on HD quality, right now its only the non-commercial stations.<P ID="signature">______________

I'd wait until the station's are actually broadcasting IN HD, smashed. Then it might not *ahem* smash your pocketbook.

HUH?? since when??? WHO is the NonComm that is doing HD??
The costs is too much for a NonComm to do...

EGADS!!! you are asking about AM IBOC??? You obviously have not heard it yet...
and wont at night even if someone starts using it...just listen 10kHz either side of the carrier you want to check...if there is a LOUD hiss noise, and the analog sounds like canned crap, its running IBOC...good luck on finding a AM IBOC rcvr! and yes it does do stereo...but the artifacts, etc...welll I think Windows Media or Real Audio sounds better......but FM quality?? not hardly...

FM IBOC is different and yes it IS better than AM IBOC....and it does NOT bother the adjancent channels...

IBOC (on AM)= It Bothers Other Channels...

There are 2 stations in Louisiana reportedly using it already.
WWNO 89.9 Classical/NPR in New Orleans
WWOZ 90.7 Variety in New Orleans

With 7 more licensed but not on air yet:
KRVS-FM 88.7 Variety Lafayette, LA
KTDY-FM 99.9 AC Lafayette, LA
WBYU-FM 1450 Children New Orleans, LA
WEZB-FM 97.1 CHR New Orleans, LA
WKBU-FM 105.3 Hot AC New Orleans, LA
WLMG-FM 101.9 Soft AC New Orleans, LA
WTKL-FM 95.7 Oldies New Orleans, LA

For equipment try Crutchfield or http://www.ibiquity.com/

The only other places would probably be top of the line places Home theatre places in Louisiana as there isn't a demand YET for it.
