HD Radio in North County

I got a new car, and it has HD radio... it's the first I've been able to hear it.

From a listener perspective... it's great in Carlsbad/Oceanside. It eliminates the static from the almost fringe signals from both SD and even some from LA. The HD2 & 3 stations are like satellite stations, but free. I can definitely tell when the HD signal overpowers the analog... I think they could use a little more power to avoid some loss of signal.

As a first time user, I like it. Just thought I'd post something positive!

Reception inland is hideous, pathetic, and painful on the 87 corridor. Well, there's the "powerful" 92.1 FM in HD.

Try driving the 76. On most areas, you'll get LA based stations until Melrose Drive; most San Diego stations are null.

HDRadio, seriously, is a waste of spectrum and steps on co-adjacent stations and offers no real value.

So does this mean you don't think it will help sell Zunes?
I would rather push your high-fidelity pocket receiver. No chips needed unless you have cold beer and dipping sauce.
