HD Radio in Providence

Who's already on the air with it, what stations are close, what about the HD2s, are they up for the stations that already are up with HD?

There are some stations in Providence who are running HD Radio.

92.3 WPRO-FM (no HD2)
93.3 WSNE (HD2, Disco)
94.1 WHJY (HD2, alt. rock)
101.5 WWBB (HD2, Comedy- very intermittent)
105.1 WWLI (very intermittent, currently not decoding due to errors at the transmitter)
106.3 WWKX (no HD2)

Not much to write home about.

Also 630 WPRO and 920 WHJJ.

I don't know if you consider it a Providence station but the signal is very strong there.
WUMD 89.3 is in HD.

Have you checked theirs lately? I haven't been getting any sign of HD from them for a while. WWLI's has been messed up for at least a month now, maybe 2. I wish they would just turn the thing off, because right now, the hash on 104.9 on 105.3 is just generating a callsign! Their RDS is doing more than that...

I am told WRNI 1290AM has HD Radio, too. Haven't been down that way with an HD Radio tuner in a while. I would be very surprised if WRNI 102.7FM doesn't get HD Radio within the next year, too.

www.HDRadio.com has a full list of stations that are claiming to run HD and those scheduled to begin soon.

I was down there a week and half ago, WWLI was in HD ok, but the HD signal was incredibly weak.
WWKX was completley out. WPRO-FM was outstanding in their HD.

WRNI 1290's signal caused the HD light to flash but the signal didn't lock into HD...
