HD Radio in Sacto?

What is taking so long? Apparently there are many stations already licensed and perhaps equipped to turn on the IBOC. Is there some roadblock for this market? If you look at the list of Licensed IBOC stations on Ibiquity's website, it looks like things could get going here. Educate us all!

I think this is a classic case of which came first, the chicken or the egg? With NO music stations transmitting HD in the market, it makes it hard for people to go out and buy the radios... With no radios in the market, why would a station spend the $250,000 to $500,000 to upgrade facilities to allow for HD?

What will drive stations to make the switch isn't "a better quality signal", it’s the fact that you can multicast!!! Yes yes yes, money money money. Those multiple stations (streams) can be ran VERY cheap with just an automation system and someone willing to program it. It won't be something overnight, but I think you'll see it take off in the upcoming year.<P ID="signature">______________

99.9 has been trying to install the iboc xtmr for a week now and things keep crashing.
