HD Radio Interference Also Appears on FM (Study)

bar... I get it, but this probably belongs on the Engineering Board / HD board instead. That article explains the self inflicted wound radio stations nationwide are inflicting on themselves. Most of the debate/discussion has been concerning obvious AM (listen to all the noise at 1050 / 1070am, or 1200 / 1220, or 940 /960am. This noise is transmitted for hundreds of miles and interferes with neighboring stations in other cities. Although much, much less pronounced, it also happens on FM stations as well.

The In Band On Channel HD system would be wonderful..if all stations dumped analog, like TV is doing. But analog/digital radio do not play well with each other...especially in Philadelphia. And what do we do with 5 billion perfectly working AM/FM analog radios?

The 700 Mhz band would be a clean option, BUT, we'd ALL STILL need to buy new radios! It's a real pickle, Ethel.
