HD RADIO IS COMING TO CANADA!

Yes. Vinyl 95.3 can be heard on an HD radio, but only that particular station (in Canada) at this time.

I'm curious about what power the Canadian HD signals will be transmitted at. If I'm not mistaken, the American HD signals can only operate at a maximum of 1% of the power of their analogue transmitter (Which is why I could never hope to pick up the BBC WS on 107.9 WVPS HD-3, 144 miles to my south east.)? Has any one seen the CRTC's word on HD broadcast power limitations?

The FCC now allows HD signals to operate at 5-10% of analog power depending on the area of the country. Many, if not most, of the HD signals in the US, however, are still operating at 1% as HD hasn't grown enough to justify the investment in an upgrade.
